Your role in joy
The school cannot encourage discovery and the joy of learning all on its own. A child spends ¾ of his day at home. Which is why we need your support. Have you ever wondered how much learning can happen in your kitchen? Are you aware of the latest childcare and development techniques?
We know that every parents intentions are good but feel it
important to spell out your
role in the learning process.
Self-esteem
It's extremely easy for adults to forget that children are not ready-made adults. Consider this: Does your child know fear? Does she have a sense of right and wrong? Does she know the meaning of 'well-mannered' and 'behave'? Does she have a sense of self or shame? The answer to all of these is a big, loud 'No'. Children need to be nurtured. The world is a big, new place for them with wondrous joys at every corner. If they are expected to know it all, we wouldn't need parents and schools.
There
are certain things we keep in mind to maintain and nourish
a child's fragile sense of self-worth. We encourage parents
to not fall back on this crucial
aspect of child development.
The school and you
Generous joy is nothing until it is shared. It is a common
responsibility and that is a basic tenet of Ananda. We will
not facilitate alone. Parent participation in the learning
process is mandatory. Our facilitators will visit you to keep
you abreast of what is happening at school and how you can
supplement our efforts of how
we can work in synergy.
